(More customer reviews)First of all, the thing doesn't pick up dirt, the little wheels get stuck with lint and hair on the floor, and the little UVC light is not bright enough to do anything.Even the experts will tell you that pushing a sweeper around the floor with a little UVC light, won't kill any real number of germs -- so, why would you buy it??The one I purchased, broke within a week (the handle at the base broke off), the battery lasted for about 15 minutes and needed 8 hour to recharge -- and, it doesn't pick up anything!

The Science of UVC Light -- How Does it Work? Ultraviolet rays with wavelengths shorter than 300 nm are extremely effective in killing bacteria and viruses. Short-wave ultraviolet light (UVC) works by destroying DNA of microorganisms like bacteria, mold, viruses, and dust mites. These compounds break down with exposed to high-intensity UV at 240 to 290 nm. UVC's effectiveness is directly related to the intensity and exposure time.
