(More customer reviews)I'll admit I'm a person who dislikes housework with a passion--but I'm a stickler for a clean and sanitary environment. Since the kitchen and the bathrooms are the most heavily traveled and visited, I was especially drawn to the Haan Duo Steam Sweeper and Sanitizer, beacause it was able to tackle a few tasks at the same time.Originally when I had to mop the floor, I'd sweep the area, fill two buckets:one with hot water and Mr. Clean--and the other bucket with clear, cold rinse water. And then the process of trying to clean the floor would begin...

After the floor finally dried, there was always a slight disinfectant residue that felt tacky whenever I'd walk across what I thought was a clean floor.

When I opened my Haan-Duo, the first place I thought I'd try the machine was the prep area in my kitchen.Between the grease and food stains, footprints, scuff marks, and crumbs, I thought if something as simple as water/steam could clean and sanitize that
mess--then it was worth every penny.

The first pass in the prep area was absolutely amazing!Not only did the Haan-Duo pick up the things I had been able to see, but it went deeper into the floor to clean things I couldn't see.My flooring is rather old, but after one cleaning, the luster I thought was gone came right back to life.Grey tiles I thought were part of the color pattern on the floor were dazzlingly white.For the first time, in a long time, the floor looked fantastic!

I then completed the bathrooms.The grout in between the tiles was perfectly clean.I tried it on my hard wood floors--and the same consistent results made the floor look like new in minutes!

The Haan-Duo is light, compact, and it delivers every time I've used the product.My only critique of the system is that it is difficult to really get in and around the back end of the toilet area because of its width.If there were an attachment, perhaps shaped like a triangle, it would get to the hard to reach spaces without any trouble.If indeed, Haan makes a hand-held model with the varying heads, I'd purchase it in a heartbeat.

The velcro pads pick up every bit of floor residue, and then when I'm finished cleaning, I wash the pads out with gentle soap, and put them in the sun to dry.

The Haan-Duo us very eco-friendly.No more do I have to worry about allergic reactions from cleaning products.The surfaces are sanitized in a natural way--without chemicals.

It's really made my workload so much easier!

(More customer reviews)The people at Shark and Euro-Pro cleaning companies have always known how to make so many great products with vacuums, and carpet sweepers. Nevertheless, when it comes down to it, it really is on how well the vacuum really lasts. Shark's previous cordless sweepers have all done a great job at picking up after everyday messes, but they have been some glitches. I was honestly very skeptical with the latest model when I saw it on television, and I liked it a lot, but as I started to use it, I was hoping for just a bit more. Here is my verdict.

The Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper is the latest in Euro-Pro's well-recieved carpet sweeper line. This one does a good job at picking up after pet hair and fuzz, and is very simple to setup. You can pick up actually a lot of pet hair, fuzz, or anything off your floors and carpets. It is easy to charge up, and does really works well. The no-mess dust cup is very simple to clean up, and easily removes all that was picked up from the floors. The vacuum is also very easy to carry around, and take from room to room, without feeling the drag of carrying around your vacuum and getting a backache.

That is what I think, even though there really are a few problems that still make could've been a bit easier to pick up after. The first problem deals with the battery. ou have to really keep the sweeper plugged in to your outelt for at least a day, inorder to fully charge a the battery. The VX3's battery also could've had a bit stronger battery life than just an hour long. The second problem deals with the backsaver feature. While the VX3 does pick up well, and is easy to operate, I had a tricky time manuvering the VX3 with the backsaver handle. While the concept is ingenius at folding the handle to make it easier at picking up under the beds and those hard-to-reach areas, it is honestly a little bit harder to control and steer the sweeper.

Still, despite a few problems with the Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper, I still think it is a very good buy for anyone who wants a easier way to clean up after all those messes on the floor. It just does a great job at really cleaning up your floors and is great for small homes and apartments, or any home that works at a great pace. While you can get this though the As Seen On TV ads, you also can find this at your nearest Macy's for around $70, instead of getting both the VX3 and VX1 models like the infomercial says in its offer for $130. So, suck those problems on the floor away, and try this sweeper out.

(More customer reviews)I have used this every day for years (I can't remember how many--but at least four years).I recently bought a new one only because I was afraid of scratching my floors due to the rollers not turning as well as they had before.I moved the old one down to my basement work area, and use the new one in the main living areas.

I have three dogs (previously four) and two house rabbits, all of whom go through times of heavy shedding.During those times I sometimes vacuum certain areas twice a day.There has never been any maintenance problem with this vacuum cleaner.The suction is strong enough for me to do my rag rugs and area rugs, and the rollers don't scratch my wood floors. It's easy on my back, conveniently converts to a hand vac, and is easy to take out and use at a moment's notice (no tedious unwinding of long cord).

One reviewer did write that this vacuum is hard to clean.I clean mine by dumping the bulk of the debris into the trash, then vacuuming the filter periodically with my Kenmore heavy-duty vacuum cleaner.The chamber holds a lot of dust, so even when my pets are heavily shedding, I don't empty it more than every 2 - 3 days.

If I only could have one vacuum cleaner, this would be it.

Bissell Swift Sweep Sweeper, 2201-2 Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this at Lowes Home Improvement for 9.97 - it's their regular price. The handle pieces do come out but don't despair! I had some carpet tape (double-sided) lying around and wrapped only a small piece around each end before I put it back together. It works like a charm. For how long, I don't know, but for the price I paid and how well it works otherwise, it will be worth investing in another role of tape in about a hundred years or so.
I can't drag the vacuum out all the time, don't want to and besides the dogs go nuts. This works as well as the carpet sweeper I remember pushing around as a little girl so I gave it an extra star for nostalgia. Gets all crumbs (don't expect it to get ground in dog hair) and gets all lint & small things you'd normally drag out the Hoover for. And No electricty needed!! If you miss the sound however, you can always hum!
