(More customer reviews)It costs about $1 per bag for 27 bags (items & shipping total if you go for the lowest 3rd party distributor).This is definitely not a HEPA cloth bag that costs $9 for TWO at SEARS, but it's not as thick as the SEARS HEPA bag, and it actually holds more dirt and dust.No problems with the bag.The best part is that there is a tape attached to the bag that you can seal the dust hole when you throw it out.That saves you from accidentally spilling all the contents out of the bag.The more expensive SEARS HEPA bag doesn't have a built in tape to do that.

(More customer reviews)I admit it I finally bought something because I saw it on an infomercial and all I can say is that I am very impressed!! I have 2 dogs, a husband that works in the oilfield, me the messy cook, and I live in sandy red dirt west Texas. This thing can really handle it all.I also like how the mop pad also goes over my 1/4 round on the baseboards and gets them too.In addition I love that I don't have to immediatly leave the area after I have mopped because the fumes from the chemicals are so strong... as my experience was when I tried the swiffer wetjet. I had debated as to whether to get this with the Bissell CatchAll or to get the Hoover Floormate and so far I am very happy with th choice I have made.
One hint I found out when using this product that is not mentioned in the instructions is that it works best when you pull it backwards instead of forwards.( like I do when using my hoover steamvac widepath) I noticed when I was pushing forwards all the steam seamed to be coming out the back of the mop head and when I pulled it backwards all the steam went apparantly on the floor because I barely saw it coming out but I could certainly see the difference. After using this product I really can say that my floor is clean. not only does it look clean , but I know that the steam is killing bacteria and I can believe it or not , breathe better. I dont know if this is because it is like being around a vaporizer or because it is killing bacteria and dustmites but it does.
WHen all of these new and improved moppping gadgets hit the market I had been hopfull because hey, I admit I hate mopping. After mopping while the floor was still wet it never failed that either my dogs or my husband when just walk on it and get it dirty again.So I tried the swiffer wetjet and was not impressed because of the strong smell of the cleaner, having to buy cleaner and pads all the time, did not get ground in stuff very well, and Knowing that I was only degreasing and not disinfecting the floor. This steam mop is cost effeciant because I don't have to keep buying cleaner or pads. It is reccomened to use distilled water to maximize the use of the water filter but 1$ /gallon compared to $3/liter isn't bad and I may end up getting one of those pur things to not have to do even that. I honestly recommend this product and hope that this may help someone considering buying it!

So, solution...a lightweight cordless vac WITH a small duster for sofas.This vacuum has been perfect for our family.The battery lasts long enough (10-15 minutes) for me to relatively thoroughly clean the kitchen floor and then the other 3 rooms that are wood floors. The dog hair and crumbs are picked up between thorough floor cleanings which is exactly the thing I needed.The removeable "dustbuster" is perfect for crumbs and hair on furniture and in tighter corners. This vacuum is not meant to be the end all vacuum for your house.It is perfect for the 1-2 times a day you may want to keep doghair and crumbs in check.I leave this vacuum in the laundry room plugged is so it is always ready to go.

There is an unexpected added bonus...my boys LOVE to use it!It is the perfect weight and height (with the handle down) for kids!They get it out and put it away on their own.I rarely let them sweep with a broom because it just made more work for me, but now I have to keep them from fighting over it:)

So, if dog hair and dirt acculumate quickly in your house and you dread pulling out the big vac to keep up and sweeping frustrates you, this is the vacuum for you.

I'm in a wooded area and there are lots of small twigs on my driveway that can be blown off with this blower but I do have to get much closer and it takes longer than my gas blower. The battery is real good for about the first 10 minutes and then it starts to drop noticeably.I have several batteries so I don't have to be too concerned about running out of power. It is convenient because of its light weight and cordless feature.

(More customer reviews)Having just put tile throughout the house, and living with 3 dogs and 2 cats, I hated hauling out the heavy vacuum and plugging it in.And then unplugging and plugging again and again all the while dragging it around the house..This little wonder does the whole house, is light and does the job.The only complaint I could possibly have is that the dirt cup is quite small and has to be emptied frequently.This, of course, would vary depending on how much animal hair accumulates on ones floor.

I would heartily reccommend this device because of it's ease of use, lack of weight and powerful suction.
I love it and could sell them door to door they are so great.

I just grin and bear it because I love the steamer..... As for carpets, I can't use my SV 60 on my carpets because NO ONE, ANY WHERE, can help me find a carpet tray....... I should have researched and purchased one from another vendor that includes FOUR microfiber pads AND the carpet tray with agitator brush...... The 50.00 extra that I would have paid would have been MONEY WELL SPENT ...... you cannot put a price on the time and effort I have spent trying to PAY for PADS that FIT and the Carpet Tray...... (More customer reviews)The machine does everything the ad says. I do want to tell you a little info on it (especially if you are out of shape or overweight)
To me it felt heavier than 16 pounds before adding water. But not unreasonably.
If you have stuck on food or gum or whatever.....the brushes with not scrub it away, so get this up beforehand.
May be wise to alternate hands during use or you may get an ache in your waist.
Practice makes perfect on getting tile floor surface to not look a little filmy.
If you use the hoover floormate detergent the room will smell nice and fresh for awhile.
The drying part of the routine takes excess water up but floor will still need a little time to finish drying.
I plan to use my Floormate often and all in all am glad I bought it.

(More customer reviews)I am a big fan of Swiffer products. I use the Wet Jet and Dusters almost daily. When I saw this item at the store, I was skeptical. It didn't really look like it would work that good. But it was on sale, so I bought it. I put it together (pushing the pole together was kind of hard) fairly easily. I inserted the cartridge. (My house mainly has laminate hard wood floors and just a little carpet. I bought the Flick for in between vacuumings.) I rolled it along the carpet and it really didn't pick up that much. I tried it on the laminate though and it picked up all the dust and crumbs that my toddler had made during his recent snack. (Note: the box says not to use on hard wood or laminate floors.) It worked really well on the laminate, similar to a broom. The bottom has two small 'brushes' that would stop it from scratching the floor, so I am not sure why the box advises against using it on that type of flooring. Overall, this is not that great of a product for carpet. I like it for my other flooring though. If you have a broom and a vacuum though, I wouldn't waste any more money just to have the Flick.

I used to have a Dyson Animal which I absolutely HATED!What a pleasure to use this vacuum instead.
Only one criticism - only one short extension wand came with the vacuum.Need to use my old Hoover extension wands to reach the baseboards, etc.

(More customer reviews)I have been using my Eureka 5843 for over 7 years.The original belt just burned up this past week, and that was not because of poor design, or product quality.

My wife drops the vacuum down to the lowest setting, meant to be used on hardwood floors and tiles, even on shag and pile rugs.After putting up with the added strain and friction caused by this type of use, the belt overheated and smoked, after 7+ years!

This is not the manufacturer's fault, nor does it indicate poor quality on the vacuum or belt's behalf.All equipment relies on the user's ability to read and follow the included instructions.
